DotOS
The larger systems lab behind the 5D work. A local-first exploration of what autonomous systems need once they stop being chat tools and start acting over time.
What it explores
Autonomous work is a systems problem
DotOS is where I test the bigger questions: how goals become tasks, how memory should be shaped, where oversight belongs, what should stay deterministic, and what architecture prevents an agent from becoming useful in the wrong way.
Why it matters
5D came out of the operating problem
5D exists because DotOS kept exposing the same boundary: the moment before execution. That is where governance becomes real. DotOS remains the broader lab. 5D is the tighter, more portable kernel extracted from it.
Themes
- Local-first orchestration
- Human oversight that rises with risk
- Explicit memory over magic context
- Architecture that enforces honesty instead of hoping for it
